Plastic Litter Report

Over nine months, I organized community volunteers to do litter cleanups and plastic litter audits in each one of Gwinnett County's 16 cities. During this project, volunteers collected five tons of trash and logged details about 10,042 pieces of plastic litter. I researched, wrote, and edited a 41-page report about our findings and their implications, including the scale of the plastic pollution crisis, the companies producing the most plastic waste in our community, and action guides for brands, government leaders, and individuals. I launched the report on Earth Day 2021 and hosted a virtual town hall with expert speakers from Break Free From Plastic, Environment Georgia, and the Chattahoochee Riverkeeper.
