About Me
Communication is my specialty, and protecting the environment is my focus. I combine these two themes in everything I do.
I’ve spent the last decade of my career honing my communication skills and studying behavioral science to learn what makes paradigms shift. In professional roles with increasing responsibility, my expertise has been applied to advance corporate sustainability goals around stakeholder engagement and Zero Waste to Landfill — the latter of which has found me excavating dumpster contents, launching composting and recycling programs, and traveling across America and abroad to equip and empower people to change their trash-tossing habits. Most recently, I led the global environmental sustainability program and team at Rheem Manufacturing, helping catalyze a world-changing sustainability revolution in the HVAC, water heating, and refrigeration industries.
In my spare time, I take action right where I live, forming grassroots organizations to foster a revival of community and rally the one million residents of Gwinnett County — the second largest county in Georgia and one of the most diverse in the nation — around the important goal of keeping valuable material out of landfills and the environment. I also served as the chair of the inaugural Gwinnett Sustainability Commission, advising as the county activates its residents and 6,000 employees on environmental stewardship. My involvement and influence led directly to the county establishing an Office of Environmental Sustainability in 2023.
